Store
policies are changing "daily" to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Check the
company web site before you head out. Be aware that particular stores in the
chain may have modified corporate polies even more.

of Operation:
- Opening Early - special hours for seniors/handicapped. Each company decides what minimum age is considered senior. Some are using 60. Others are using 65.
- Closing early - These may be everyday or select days.
* Quantity
Limits:
- Hording Prevention invoked on high-demand items such as, toilet paper, cleaning products.
* In-Store
Social Distancing:
- Limiting the number of shoppers allowed in stores at one time to manage occupancy limits.
- One-way flow of traffic in aisles. Directional
arrows to prevent shoppers from coming face-to-face.

markers at checkout lines and other high-traffic areas to keep shoppers 6 feet
apart.

Hygiene measures:
- Requesting shoppers to wear masks and/or gloves to protect workers and other shoppers.
- Banning the use of personal reusable shopping bags by some stores to reduce “vulnerable touch points."
- Suspending the sale of deli meat sliced to order.
- Closing food courts, self-serve salad, olive and soup bars.
Note: Costco shut down coffee grinders.
* What
you can do:
- Respect store rules and other shoppers by keeping your distance and waiting your turn.
- Wear a face mask and latex gloves. Contamination is more likely through touch.
- Remove one glove at a time. Use the second glove to remove the first
glove!
Do not use your bare hand to remove the second glove. - Wash face mask (if appropriate material) and gloves when you get home.
- Wipe down car steering wheel, keys, and door knobs, pens, styluses, etc.
- Hand wash your reusable bags with an antibacterial cleaner, then air dry.
