Action Alert - Gaithersburg - Attempted Kidnapping

Just in:
Detectives from the Gaithersburg Police Investigations Section are investigating an attempted kidnapping incident that occurred in the 500 block of Midsummer Drive.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact the Gaithersburg Police Investigations Section at 301-258-6400

City of Gaithersburg Government FY2014 Proposed Budget Presentations


The City Manager,Tony Tomasello, has proposed an FY2014 budget of $56.6 million (9.9% higher than the FY1203 budget.)
 
The public may comment for up to 3 minutes in person at the Public Hearing on April 15 and at the Work Session on April 29. The public may comment in writing or by E-mail until May 15.

FY2014 Budget Approval Timeline:
Monday, April 15, 2013 – 7:30 p.m. – Public Hearing for Budget and Constant Yield Tax
Monday, April 29, 2013 – 7:30 p.m. – Budget Work Session
Tuesday, April 30, 2013 – 7:30 p.m. – Budget Work Session (only if necessary)
Wednesday, May 15, 2013Record Closes
Monday, June 3, 2013 – 7:30 p.m. – Budget Scheduled for Adoption

13th Annual Montgomery County Housing Fair

13th Annual Montgomery County Housing Fair
and
Financial Fitness Day:

The fair provides a way for those providing help  (lenders, certified housing counselors, and attorneys) to meet with residents needing help for a variety of housing needs, such as  those seeking help deciding to rent or own, those interested in refinancing or those seeking mortgage relief options. "Many useful resources will be available, including free credit reports and information on managing money, credit and utilities."

The Montgomery Philharmonic is a community orchestra based in Gaithersburg, Maryland. They are dedicated to providing opportunities to enjoy, explore, and create music. They played at Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church on December 16th and a great time was had by all. They are open to opportunities to play more.
